Does drinking water helps in weight loss? Weight loss is directly related to your metabolism. To kick start your metabolism and trigger weight loss, you just need a glass of water every morning, how simple it is! Isn’t it? It’s often believed that drinking warm water with lemon juice early morning helps lose weight. Some people even add honey to it. Lots of people believe in it and practice this regularly.     I recently lost over 60lbs and went from size 42 waist to a 34. Exercise was a huge factor, but I would have to say what we eat and when is a more crucial factor. I try to eat 5-6 smaller protein-rich meals with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, I eat my biggest meal of the day in the morning and taper off with subsequent ones throughout the day. This helps get the metabolism going and keeps the appetite under control. Obese people often eat less than I do, except they skip breakfast, chug sugary sodas all day, snack on greasy carb-laden junk food and then gorge before dinner and up until bedtime. By doing that, you are essentially telling your body to store fats and metabolize foods at a slower rate.

      Its always better to have 5 – 6 small meals instead of stuffing yourself at two to three meals in a day. Also drink lots of water, at least 8 – 10 glasses per day. Water also helps increase the metabolism.

      There is no short cut to weight loss, there is no miracle drug or programme either. What one should remember is that to loose weight, one should work dedicatedly on his/her diet and fitness regime and work on consistently to achieve their goal.
