Causes Of Dandruff:
Studies have shown that dandruff is caused by pityrosporum-ovale. This is a kind of micro organism which can be found in the scalp of every human being. An individual who is frequently exposed to dust and the ultraviolet rays of the sun are prone to developing dandruff. Frequent usage of chemical based hair products such as shampoo, conditioner, hair dyes and hair gel increases one’s vulnerability to dandruff. The chemical content of these products are definitely detrimental to the scalp. In turn, an individual will suffer from dandruff problem and other scalp problems such as hair loss and hair thinning.
If too much dryness of the skin causes dandruff, too much oil will also do the same. There is enough evidence to show that overactive oil glands of the skin also cause dandruff. These overactive oil glands of the skin will cause Pityrosporum ovale to multiply faster. In turn, the individual will experience an inflammation of the scalp which will lead to the emergence of more flakes.
